Description
Yes, she is a faerie! They don't need wings or pointed ears! Pointed ears and insect-like wings came much later and now how completely spoiled our idea of these marvelous beings into thinking they must look like tinkerbell
I wuv her and I shall name her Finavar
Anyways, I found a piece of cardboard randomly in my parents room, snatched it and began sketching a fairy playing a harp but then I saw this [link] and fell in love with the dress instantly! And wouldn't you know, I then also saw this [link] which was a perfect reference for the medieval-looking harp So thank you for the inspiration!
Materials: Acrylics (mostly) Color pencils, white chalk and goldy oil pastel. I added the green background, the sparkles (to make her more 'magical') and black border in photoshop.
Time: approx 16 hrs
EDIT: I got rid of the green background, made it purple and turned the yellow-gold circle knot into white & black border to dark purple.
~Cheers!
PS: Title should mean "Fairyland Music" in gaelic but I'm no expect in irish grammer maybe it should be just "Ceoil sidhe"....i dunno
EDIT: I changed the title after asking an irish aquaintance how to say Fairy Music.
