Adventure is OUT THERE!

Hello peoples!

I know, I'm hardly on here, like, ever! I did give you fair warning that my activity on Deviant Art would decrease significantly, and it has. I haven't completely tossed it aside, but I do see myself only popping by once or twice a year for the next few years. Life is turning a new and exciting chapter of Adulthood for me, and I am so excited for what is in store and my new personal projects as well!

I am now a WIFE! Got married May 31st, and spent a lovely honeymoon in Paris and Belgium with my best friend and truest companion! I graduated with my Education degree, and in 2 weeks (TWO WEEKS!!!) my husband and I will get on a plane and move to EGYPT!!!

Yes, EGYPT! For two years we will be working and teaching in a private school, having great adventures and travelling around the Mediterranean before coming back home to Canada to start settling down.

Several months ago I told you guys about my bridal blog  {The Sheepish Bride - thesheepishbride.blogspot.ca/} where you can see pictures of my wedding! But my main project that I truly want to cultivate and grow is my travel blog {Wanderlust + Heart - www.wanderlustandheart.ca} which is relatively new!

That's what is new with me! I am going on an adventure! I do have some art up my sleeve to share with you soon! So, yay! If any of you are into reading blogs, travel, Egypt, exotic cultures, diverse foods, travel photography and all that fun stuff, feel free to follow along! How is everyone else doing? What phase of life are you going through? While I am very excited for the stage of life I'm starting, I find myself nostalgic for my early twenties when I was carefree and learning about myself and the world around me. I get so excited for young kids who are just graduating from high school and all the choices they have yet to make and all the opportunities and paths they can take! It is so overwhelming, but really an amazing part of growing up!

Hello there!

No, I'm afraid it's not art related. At least not visual art. If you consider the art of writing, then there's plenty of it!
I started a bridal blog, for fun really. Mostly to offer help and advice and tips. Eventually I would like it to go elsewhere, but we'll see how successful it is. 

I just started, so there isn't much up yet, but I hope I can stay committed enough to add a lot more content. (I also need to do something about the format, I'm not happy with it...I shall deal with that later)

So, I might end up quitting my part time job, which will result in spare time, which may lead to some art...I've been eyeing my water colors! Oh, how I miss traditional art!!!

Anyways, apologies for having basically fallen off the face of the DeviantArt planet... :sad:

Woah...Long time no see!

Wow, wow, wow! I have hardly been on here for 6 months! CRAY CRAY!

UPDATE

I'm in the Education Program at University, so I'm studying full time and doing practicum at a Jr High teaching a grade 8 class (bit of a nightmare, but some days they're great!) and working still part time. 

Still dating my beloved, though our relationship has been through Hades and back, we've been growing each step of the way.

I gained weight. 10 pounds since May, most of it happened during road trip to Miami to visit family (ate soo good...but so unhealthy) and then that just threw me off completely and quite quickly the pounds packed on over the last 2 months, but I have gone back to eating super healthy and have lost some of it, yay! Just needed to get my eating under control. I'll lose it and keep it. I've done it before and I can do it again!

Sooo, I left my camera in Miami :doh: I didn't even want to bring it because I knew I wouldn't want to carry that huge thing while touristing with my cousin in the boiling heat. I didn't use it once, and left it and didn't realize until we were about half an hour on the road to Orlando. I was so gutted, and my aunt is taking forever to send it back to me. I'm ready to take my photography to a new level, and I have a friend/co-worker who is an AMAZING professional photographer and wants to sell me his camera, but I need to sell mine first to get funds for it :P blah. 

My free time is now occupied with trying to have a social life. When I don't have free time, I'm doing school work and group presentations and planning lessons, marking assignments and creating rubrics, and planning my practicum block where I have to teach EVERYDAY at least 1 class for an entire month! Leaves me a teeny bit stressed...

but I'm excited to teach poetry. That's the unit I chose. Time is going by so quickly, it's INSANE!

I feel a little crazy....:crazy:

I shall see you all when school is over probably. So in July. I promise to alert you to any major news!

EEEK! I founds a sheep journal skin!!! :excited:

Although, not sure if I want to stick with it. It's a little too gray and simple.

HELP? Can you guys suggest journal skins that would suit me and my fancy? I feel like I keep looking at the same ones and when I try to find something specific, there's no journal skin for it :(

Today is my last real day of relaxation. This whole week was supposed to be relaxing and dedicated to "me" time, but work got in the way. If you noticed I posted quite a lot of things yesterday, it's amazing how productive I became when I had NO school to worry about, NO work and well NO ONE around!

The last one is a key one, 'cause usually if I do have no school or no work, I'm with my boyfriend. He's my best friend and we never get tired of hanging out, we eat together, watch movies together, play with our siblings together, eat dinner with each other's families together, read relationship books together, pray together, dance together, do devotions together, clean together, hang out with friends together and go SHOPPING together!

You get the picture. I'm going to marry this guy, people. I know it! He knows it! Our families and friends know it! Just waiting for that day when he'll pop the question!!! :iconlaplz:

Anyways, today I'm actually splitting the day between "me" time and "mommy and me" time. I'm taking my mama out for lunch as an early Mother's Day gift :) Now that she is completely done school, we can finally have time to hang out again!
